What is it? During a trial, the process of trying to undermine the testimony of a witness. This is sometimes called impeaching the testimony of a witness. For example, a witness credibility may be called into question by showing they are biased, inaccurate, unreliable, dishonest, or incorrect in some manner.Legal Definition Added By: Abby
